What the Kit Includes

1. 100g Indigo Paste (Pure Natural Plant Dye): Made from pigment extracted from the Strobilanthes cusia plant.

• 100g of dye can color 2 plush toys or 2 T-shirts.
• (Includes 20g Fixative + 10g Reducing Agent)
• Note: Cannot dye synthetic fibers (polyester, nylon, etc.). Can dye 100% wool, 100% silk, and 100% cotton.

5. 8x Rubber Bands for Tie-Dyeing (Fixation Bands)

Fixative: The Fixative is a chemical used to lock the dye color into the fabric permanently. It helps the dye bond with the fibers so the color doesn’t wash out or fade easily.

Reducing Agent: In indigo dyeing, the Reducing Agent makes the blue dye soluble in water and temporarily colorless, allowing the fabric to absorb it. When the fabric hits the air, the dye re-oxidizes, and the blue color magically appears!

• Large household garbage bags (to protect the table surface from dye)
• Dye containers (e.g., buckets, basins)

What is Tie-Dye?

Tie-dye is a method of creating colorful patterns on fabric by folding, twisting, pleating, or crumpling the material and binding it tightly with rubber bands or string before applying dye. The tied areas resist the dye, resulting in unique, vibrant patterns when the bindings are removed.
